Finland's central securities depository Euroclear Finland will migrate to TARGET2-Securities system (T2S), maintained by European Central Bank, on September 11, 2023. Due to migration it is not possible to open book-entry accounts or make any client data changes on September 7–10, 2023.
The book-entry system will be totally closed on September 8, 2023. Trade settlement will continue in the T2S system from September 11, 2023. Despite this, Friday 8 September 2023 is a normal trading day at the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
T2S is a new European securities settlement platform which offers centralised delivery-versus-payment (DvP) settlement in central bank money. T2S covers almost the entire European securities market.
